Today, music is an integral part of education, as it has been for hundreds of years. It is not a hobby - nor should it be considered a luxury or an extracurricular activity. Music is an important component of any full curriculum.

Every student in the school benefits - participants and listeners. Music makes young people more aware of our larger culture - a part of both education and life.

"My experience, and that of other educators, clearly confirms the importance of music as a vital element in any well rounded education. I have been personally fortunate to teach and follow hundreds of students who discovered how music dramatically enhanced their overall education and personal objectives," says Mr. Effman.
